Terms and conditions
These terms apply to everything you order from The Printing Shop: in the shop, by email and online through tpshop.be. This is a translation; if the two versions differ, the Dutch version applies.
Who we are
The Printing Shop is a trade name of Antwerp Print Service BV, Begijnenstraat 66-68, 2000 Antwerp, Belgium, company number BE 0718.814.837, RPR Antwerpen, afdeling Antwerpen. You can reach us at info@tpshop.be or on +32 483 06 91 72.
When they apply
These terms apply to every quote, order and delivery, including on the student page and the poster page. Other arrangements only apply if we confirm them in writing, for example by email. A customer’s own terms only apply if we accept them in writing.
Quotes and prices
A quote is valid for 30 days unless it says otherwise. It is based on the details and files we received. If the quantity, size, paper, finishing or files change, the price may change too.
Prices for private customers include 21% VAT. Prices for businesses may exclude VAT; this is then clearly stated.
Ordering and payment
You pay for online orders in advance through Mollie. Your order is final as soon as your payment succeeds. We then start production.
In the shop, you pay when you pick up, unless we agree otherwise. Businesses pay invoices within the term stated on the invoice.
Late payments are subject to the statutory rules: for businesses the Belgian Act of 2 August 2002 on late payment in commercial transactions, for consumers Book XIX of the Belgian Code of Economic Law.
Your files
You are responsible for the content of your files: text, spelling, colours, size, resolution and bleed. We print what you give us. We check your file technically where we can, but not for content or spelling mistakes.
You confirm that you hold the rights to what you have printed, such as copyright, trademarks and image rights. We may refuse print work that is unlawful or offensive.
If you ask for a proof and approve it, we print according to that proof.
Colour and materials
Colours on paper look different from colours on a screen. Small differences in colour, cutting and thickness between paper types, machines and print runs are normal and are not grounds for a complaint. To be sure, ask for a test print.
Ready, pickup and shipping
A ready time we give in advance, also on the student page and the poster page, is an estimate. We do everything we can to meet it and let you know if it takes longer. Only a date we promise in writing is a fixed date.
You can pick up your order in the shop during opening hours, Begijnenstraat 66-68, 2000 Antwerp. We may destroy orders that have not been picked up after three months, without a refund.
If you have your order shipped, we send it with bpost or DPD to the address you gave us. Check the parcel when it arrives.
Cooling-off period
When consumers buy online, they normally have 14 days to change their mind. This does not apply to print work we make from your files or to your wishes: that is always made to order (Article VI.53, 3° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law). You therefore cannot cancel or return an online order free of charge.
If you do want to change or cancel something, let us know as soon as possible. If we have not started yet, we will look for a solution together.
Complaints
Check your prints when you pick them up or when they arrive. If something is wrong, let us know as soon as possible at info@tpshop.be, with a photo, and before you use or process the prints further.
Businesses report visible defects within 8 days of pickup or delivery. Consumers report a defect within 2 months of noticing it.
If your complaint is justified, we reprint or refund the part concerned. A complaint about part of an order does not entitle you to withhold payment for the whole order.
Liability
As far as the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount of the order concerned, and we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit. Always keep a copy of your files and originals.
Ownership
Prints remain our property until they are paid in full. Designs and layouts we make remain ours, unless agreed otherwise.
Privacy
How we handle your information is explained in our privacy policy.
Disputes
Belgian law applies. If there is a problem, we always try to solve it together first. If that fails, the courts of Antwerp, Antwerp division, have jurisdiction for businesses. Consumers can also go to the court of their place of residence or to the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (consumentenombudsdienst.be).
